For the past two days I've had the pleasure to attend the Young Child Expo & Conference. With most conferences there are always some workshops that are so insightful and invigorating, while other workshops can be real snoozers. One great session was the Autism Initiative started by Sesame Street.
The Sesame Street workshop I had attended I came away with this Song stuck in my mind.
"We all can feel happy. We all can feel mad. We all can feel good. We all can feel bad. We all want to laugh and we all want to play. We all are amazing, each in our own way. We all are amazing, every kid is amazing. We all are amazing, each in our own way."
Sesame Street has done an amazing job on their Autism Initiative. There are many different tools for providers, teachers, and parents that helps discuss this difficult topic. Everyone parent should talk to their child about why each child is amazing in their own way.
